The Riverline

The Riverline will be a seasonal full-service restaurant designed by Michelin-starred Executive Chef Eduard Frauneder.  The menu will highlight fresh local ingredients in inventive, coastal Mediterranean-inspired dishes.  The wine list developed by David Hitchner, owner of Alphabet City Wine Co., will feature many biodynamic wines from small family producers.  The beer selection will be dominated by the freshest beers from NYC’s burgeoning craft breweries, curated by Zach Mack, owner of ABC Beer Co.

Upon walking into The Riverline, guests will enter a large dining area with soaring ceilings reaching up to 28’ in height at their apex.  The large patio area and outdoor bar area will be a great place to soak in the sun and enjoy the views.

The Riverline will also be available for weddings, celebrations, corporate events, and other private events.  With no interior supports, the wide-open layout with the truss system overhead allows planners free range to create unique events.  The space will be outfitted with audio and video hookups to make hosting conferences and lectures a seamless experience.

The Riverline is located steps away from Soisson’s Landing on Governors Island, the ferry terminal for the Manhattan ferry, and sits directly on the East River overlooking the East River bridges and the lower Manhattan skyline.  The ferry from Manhattan runs daily from 7am – 10pm every half hour from 10 South Street and takes 8 minutes.  NYC Ferry services Governors Island on the South Brooklyn line and provides an additional seasonal weekend shuttle service from Pier 11 in Manhattan.  Seasonal weekend ferry service is operated by Governors Island from both Pier 6 in Brooklyn Bridge Park and Red Hook / Atlantic Basin.
